Sales Operations Assistant

Provide support to the management team within a company’s sales department. Commonly responsible for performing clerical duties ie. completing expense reports and/or sales proposals, etc.

What does a Sales Operations Assistant do?
• Provides clerical and minor technical support for the sales department
• Record-keeping responsibilities may include sales and expense reports, electronic databases and sales proposals for prospective customers
• Processing a high volume of service orders
• Processing invoices for all sales transactions
• Checking prices and contracts are up-to-date
• Prepare monthly sales reports
• Answer and respond to customer sales needs and objectives with manner (through phone call, text messaging, email and etc)
• Supporting the sales force with general operations to help reach team’s objectives
• Communicating internally important feedback from customers
• Update customer databases with sales order, delivery, and also payment details
• Manage inventories
• Helping out in purchasing
• Assist in preparing schedules for operations technician
Required Skills
Each Sales Administrative Assistant should have or nearly have the following:​
• Advance customer service skills
• An administrative or sales background
• Ability to exercise discretion, judgement and confidentiality when working with customer information
• Minimum – intermediate competence with Microsoft Office Suite; ie. MS Words, MS Excel, MS Power Point
• Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationship with all level
• Telephone & Email etiquette
• Able to write report on daily activities
• Physically fit to perform duties and tasks required
• Team player, self-discipline, hardworking, responsible, honest and independent
• Ability to work independently under general supervision, meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
